On April 15, 2011 version “4b – Public” of the BioGrace GHG calculation tool has been sent to the European Commission with the request to recognise it as a voluntary scheme on the basis of Articles 18.4 – 18.6 of the Renewable Energy Directive (2009/28/EC, RED). The project consortium has not yet received an answer to this request but trusts that the evaluation of the Commission will soon be completed and that the Commission will decide to recognise the BioGrace GHG calculation tool as a voluntary scheme.
